how to deal with image-sequences was created by verstaerker
hi
i'm trying to load an image-sequence into fcp-x where each image should be 1 frame long... how do i deal best with this? Looks like i hav to change the duration for each image manually
is there a good way of grouping the sequences already in the clip view?

If you own Motion then I'd use that. Otherwise select all the clips hit control D and set their duration to one frame then add them all to a new compound clip.
But motion is so much better as it deals with image sequences seamlessly.

Use MPEG Streamclip or Compressor or the QT7 pro player to open the image sequence and convert it to QuickTime in ProRes in whatever frame rate you're working in.

It's quite easy in fcpx too.
Put all the frames in timeline, select all (cmd+A) then cmd+D (modify duration) press 1 (make every clip duration 1 frame) then make them a compound clip and you are good to go
Good luck!

Once you begin to work with image sequences in Motion you'll never want to go back. You just navigate to the first frame and it appears as a movie you simply drop into a timeline. Then you can apply all kinds of beautiful animations to give it even more life.
Plus it can handle giant DSLR images with not trouble.

thx for the answers ... i think using compressor to create a mov seems the best option
i've also written feedback to apple asking for easier integration in fcp-x
