I essentially have a split screen effect. With 20+ images within the screen. Mostly stills with a couple videos. I would like to be able to zoom into one of the images slowly and have it continue playing the video.

I can control each individual image or all the images at once, but I would like to control the surrounding frame.

Having trouble figuring this out.
Cheers.

You could make a compound clip from the split-screen and zoom in and out on the compound clip.

I guess the issue with that is I want to zoom into a specific video clip and have it play full quality. If I make a compound clip wouldn't that clip be 1920x1080 when it is fully zoomed out? So then when I zoom in it would be super low quality?

No, actually if you zoom into a compound clip, it will in fact keep the resolution of the original clip. So if you reduce the size of a clip to say, 1/10 its size inside a compound clip, but if you zoom in from the compound clip itself 10x, it should keep its resolution.

Cheers! This is working. That was my original thought but I just brushed it off as not going to work because it would create the resolution of the timeline. Good to know that the attributes within are retained.
