Today saw an update to the QuickTime codecs helpful to ProApps users - from version 1.0.3 to 1.0.4
If you've been having problems with some of these codecs, perhaps this update will help.
AVCIntra from 2.1 -> 2.1.2
HDV 2.0.3 -> 2.0.5
ProRes 3.0.3 -> 3.0.4
DVCPROHD 2.0.1 -> 2.0.2
Go to Software Update in the Apple menu to get it.

Good catch! I see lots of updates. Pixelmator now supports Mac Pro dual GPUs. Seems all iWork apps have minor updates, iMovie, MainStage, and Xto7.
QT codecs also update XDCAM/EX/HD22, MPEG IMX, and Uncompressed 4:2:2.

The new version of the codecs seem to add Haswell support:
From inside each codec:
Apple introduced Haswell-based CPUs in the 'Late 2013' MacBook Pros
- however it might be that the codec is very similar, but generated using a compiler that provides Haswell support.
From inside each codec:
Please verify that both the operating system and the processor support Intel(R) AVX2, BMI, LZCNT and FMA instructions.
