FCPX loses focus on the timeline....

I've noticed this happening but only in 10.1.1. I generally don't use any special filters but sometimes for reasons I can't explain the video goes away. The program still acts like it's there, it just doesn't show it. Not from the timeline or from the bin. If I recall it has some text that says something like "Nothing to display" or something like that where the video should be. Switching events or projects refreshes it and all is fine. Seems completely random. Never encountered it in any other version of FCPX. Hopefully FCPX 10.1.2 fixes a ton of bugs, this included.

Yes, 10.1.1 has TONS on little minor bugs. Hoping 10.1.2 is simply a major bug fix. Been taxing Compressor 4.1 lately and finding TONS of minor and major bugs. Hers to hoping Apple is simply fixing bugs more than anything. Seriously.

I've had more crashes and issues after the 10.1 and 10.1.1 updates than all the versions before combined. I've got a project I'm working on right now and it has some major performance issues. It shows render bars over clips that don't need rendering of any kind, when I try to render simple lower thirds it sucks up all my RAM and refuses to render. I've created proxy media, deleted preferences, deleted render files, duplicated the project and nothing fixes it. Fortunately it's on a behind behind the scenes thing for that rode reel challenge that I just don't even care about so it's not a big deal, but if this was a paid project I'd be screwed. I'm basically crippled as it is right now and there's no reason for there to be any issues, it's such a simple project. I've never had issues like this before, it's really frustrating.
Additionally, here's a montage of errors that recently happened on another project. Rendering would do nothing and they clips remained black. This was after I duplicated the project for another round of revisions. Fortunately the revisions were minor and I could just use the previous version. But if I had to do a bunch of revisions this would have been bad.

Apple will actually watch your videos of bugs and things like that if you give them a link to it in their feedback section. So keep that in mind!

I agree this is nasty and yes, absolutely, 10.1.2 and any updates of other pro app should only focus on getting bugs like this solved before anything else.
Julian,
Do keep providing feedback to Apple a much as you can and, as Joe says, also provide links to any videos that show what's happening. Such feedback is being taken very seriously.
Can you also do a little test for me? Create a new user account and open the problematic project using this account. Do you still have these issues when working off the new account? If so: also report this to Apple. It will help them pin-point the exact causes for the different issues.
