Timeline in Multicam Edit: Stacked Angles? was created by stkirkland
Hi:
I've been editing multicam clips for awhile, but this time when I opened the clip up, it shows all 4 angles synced across the timeline, stacked one on top of another. I usually have all the angles shown as ONE clip (kind of like a compound clip) in the timeline and then I can cut in the Angle Editor easily. I don't really like the stacked timeline setup, but I can't figure out why it opened up this way or how to get it back to the original way I'm used to.
If you can help, I'm so thankful!

You have probably double-clicked on the multicam clip in the event browser. This opens the angle editor and that is what you are seeing. Here you can make adjustments in the placement of the individual angles or add new angles to an existing multicam clip. To exit the angle editor just double click your project.

Hey Sean,
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you post a screenshot from this multicam clip?

Ah, that could be it. I think Robbert-Jan is correct.

OK thanks. I attached a screenshot. I did double-click in the Event Browser to exit but it's still showing all the angles stacked up. I'd love to see it as a single stream again in the timeline if possible.

can't seem to attach the screenshot. It's a png file, maybe that's it?

OK, when I double-click on the multi cam clip in the Event Browser, I can see my 4 angles and the frames appear around them again (ones showing which angle is active, which is monitoring audio). BUT, as soon as I move over to these and click on an angle, the frames disappear and I'm back to square one. I'd love to close out of this new setup altogether and start over, but I suppose that would mean choosing all the shots again and making a new Multicam Clip?

Find your project thumbnail in the event browser and double click this one. That should do it

Alternatively you can click the back arrow just above the top left corner of your timeline (there are two arrows in front of the name of your current open timeline, if you click the left pointing arrow you wil go to the previous opened timeline.)

To try out what you did, you can double click the multicam clip in the event browser, or click the other (right pointing) arrow or double click the small 4 square icon that is visible in the upper left corner of every instance of a multicam clip in the timeline
