Every time I import media and bring up the file I want to import in a folder on my external hard-drive and then import it, it seems to disappear in the event library, if i import the folder it appears in the event library no problems, the folder is named the file is not ,could this be part of the problem??
Any help appreciated

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Do you mean the file that you want to import doesn't have a file name? Now that would be odd.
