Is there any comparable service to scriptsync on AVID that would work for FCPX?

Scriptsync is a third-party solution from Nexidia that Avid has integrated into its Media Composer workflow.

The same Nexidia technology is used in SoundBite2 from Boris FX, which also works with FCPX: www.borisfx.com/borisfxnews/2013/02/26/n...l-cut-pro-x-support/

Get, based on the same technology as well, is available for classic FCP but not for FCPX (yet):
www.fcp.co/hardware-and-software/pro/294...lved-from-499-to-249

And Moviola has posted a (paid) webinar where Sam Mestman shows how to emulate Scriptsync in FCPX:

Hi,
Soundbite is more like Avid PhraseFind.
While the search engine is quite impressive, I wish it would be more fcpx friendly.
It doesn't keep clip names that you entered manually, but shows the Finder files names.
It also can't perform a research in synced clips, only in original clip, making matching Boris results in fcpx Event difficult.
I sent an e-mail asking if they were planning to enhance roundtrip with fcpx, they said having passed this along to engineering...

This is an area if really like to see apple expand. Transcribing interviews makes the assembly process so much faster and easier, but I still have to type everything out. I'd love to see apple integrate Siri or the OSX dictation program into FCPX. It has to be on their roadmap somewhere, but I just don't know when it will be implemented properly.

Hi All, I have a product at www.uSubtitle.tv which performs a speech to text process on video files and audio files. I currently only export out the "created" text as timed stamp transcriptions and or various Closed Caption files. I do have the capability of exporting the in's and out's of each "created" word from the text as opposed to the current group of words. I've added a few screen captures show showing the current export options including a Keyword export as a text file.

I have done some comparisons with SoundBite. I can say SoundBite is very fast and about equal in Text results. My process is about real time. I can give you all the MetaData but currently don't have a practical workflow solution for NLE's.

My current understanding is FCPX currently will not allow for updating of the clip MetaData, with let us say a "XML clip" MetaData import. That said I don't know how helpful the created data would currently be to the editorial process.

The platform currently can process US english dialect and a US Spanish. If anyone has a use suggestion and or just intreated in trying out the service. I am offering a 30 day free subscription for up to 5 hours of media content processing. Coupon Code: 100_49 EXP. 1/31/14
