Always select handles in the clip library?? was created by Seany
If one is selecting in and out points for clips in the event clip library in FCP X to place in the timeline, should one always think of providing handles when selecting, just in case any of your clips to go in the timeline may need a cross-dissolve when editing in the timeline??
Apologies if this is an obvious question, I've just not seen it mentioned in any effecient workflows i've been reading about.

No, the rest of the media is already available when you edit that "range" into a Timeline.
To see this, double-click an edit point, to open the Precision Editor, and you'll see how it works.
