You can easily export an AAF from FCPX using X2Pro, but it doesn't happen very often that someone wants to import an AAF into FCPX :) But this is possible with a little (and free) workaround:

Export an AAF and import the AAF into DaVinci Resolve (the free version will do). Then render the clips to QuickTime, export an FCPXML and import the FCPXML into FCPX.

Or if you have Logic X you can import the AAF in Logic X and export an FCPXML from Logic. I haven't tested this second workflow yet, so I cannot guarantee it will work without any issues.

I will try it. I have project synchronized in Protools, so that's why I am looking for solution.

It is very buggy. Best of luck with that. Unless it is a short timeline, with only the most basic structure, don't hold your breath for LPX to do it correctly.

You can use the free Automatic Duck Plugins for FCP7.

www.automaticduck.com/products/download/

You would have to import the AAF into FCP7, using The Automatic Duck Import, then generate an XML from fcp7.

Then you need to convert the FCP7 XML into FCP X by using 7toX.

I just used this method to convert an old AVID project into something I can work with in FCPX. It worked great.

If you don't have FCP7 you can use the roundtrip to Resolve Lite (free version), as described above.

What type of footage are you using? Resolve is pretty finicky with certain types of footage, especially older stuff like DVCPROHD and HDV and the like. I had trouble with something as recent as FS700 footage before they added support for it. If it's something like ProRes you should be good to go, so you may want to consider transcoding beforehand.
