Import File Window VS. Drag To Event From Finder Speed?

Has anyone noticed a difference in speed between the Import Files pop up window and just dragging files to the Event from the finder window?

I just tried to use the import window and it was only at about 3% after making dinner...i cancelled it, dragged the files and dropped on the Event and it already 32% imported in just a few minutes...

Whats going on here?

The only things i have checked are to copy media to Event folder and also to import folders as keywords. Nothing else.

Do you have the exact same options selected in the pref pane, as you do in the Import window?
They both use the exact same processes, not sure what would change things.
Except if you're copying from an SD type card, what would be slower than in internal drive.

Nah, all settings the same...

I guess it was just a glitch. I generally drag and drop anyway, so no bother...was just curious if its a "thing" people were experience or just me.

Its USB3 field drive to Pegasus R4 in both situations...
