FCP X 10.1 Prefernece problem

I have problem with some preference that don't change like Time display (HH:MM:SS:FF / Frames / Seconds) another thing is I have AJA Kona Lhi and I cant turn ON or OFF A/V Output that it's in the windows menu.
I have created another user to see if the problem persist but it works OK in the new user that I created.
So the problem is in my Administrator user.

I would like to know if there is a way to fix this problem in my administrator user.
I have delete manually the FCP X preference with no luck, I have Digital Rebellion Preference Manager but still continue the problem.
I have Digital Rebellion Pro Maintenance Tools and try different thins with no luck.
I have verify disk permission, nop.
Delete FCPX and download a fresh version but still have the problem.

I don't have an AJA, but have you tried to delete all the prefs written by AJA?

You cannot change the AJA LHi presets within FCPX.
Quit FCPX, choose the preset you need from the AJA control panel and then reopen FCPX.

Thanks for the help aamb, this is the way I do it now but I would like to be able to uncheck the A/V output and the change my AJA preset without closing FCP X.

What is wrong with my administrator user that affect FCP I don't know but I would love to find the problem.

isn't there a de-install option for the aja?

I did uninstall AJA and delete all related files and FCP X preference, then restart computer and start FCP X but I still have the preference problem, logically the A/V output is gray out because it docent have the AJA program install.
Then install AJA again but still have the preference problem and A/V output.

Another problem that I have is that FCP 10.1 always open the library of the first project and event that I update.
It docent mater if I delete preference it open that library.

It has to open a library. If will not open without a library. If you trash the preferences, it will open with a new Untitled library, or if there's an Untitled library in the Movies folder it will open that.

Or after you trash your preferences rather than launching FCP, double-click a library to launch the application with that library.

For what it's worth... if you hold the Option key down when launching FCP X it'll open a library chooser from which you can open any library you'd like.

Not after you've trashed your prefs regrettably.

Tom I know that FCP X always need to have a open library the thing is I trash the preference and when I open FCP X it always open the same library the first one I created with FCP 10.1 not a new empty library.
I have created a new user and everything is working perfect in FCP 10.1 but then I don't have access to many things that I have in the administrator user.
That is way I want to fix FCP 10.01 problem in the administrator user.

That's the way the application works. If it's in its default state and sees a library called Untitled in Movies it will open that. There is currently no way around that. You can make a feature request, but that's about it.

But Tom a question, if I am working with a new Library (Example Library import media, edit, etc. and then I quit FCPX the next time I open FCPX what library should FCPX open, the new Library (Example Library B)that I was working or the one I created the fist time I open FCP 10.1 (Example Library A), or a new empty library (Example Library C).

My problem is that it always open Library A, a library that I haven work with for more that 10 days.

I hope you understand what I am try to explain.

I run the AJA Kona LHi, and it works fine, as long as you have the latest update (10.4.8 at least, if not 10.4.9).

Use the free app "FCS Remover" to delete FCPX from your system totally. It won't touch your events.
Run the AJA Kona software uninstaller (in the AJA utilities folder).
Then reinstall form the App Store.
Run the latest AJA Kona software installer.

Ben I did what you suggest, delete AJA and FCPX with FCS Remover and then download AJA 10.4.9 and FCPX but I still get the same problem with FCP preference and I can't uncheck A/V output.
