Remove multiple efx from multiple clips was created by tedtv
Anyone know if there is a short cut key that will allow me to remove multiple efx from multiple clips? Example, I have 30 one second shots with the aged paper filter. I hate it and want to remove them all at one time instead of one at a time. Any ideas? I've tried copying a clip with no effects and pasting, "no effects," to the multiple clips. No go.

I'm sure I have been able to do this before: group-select all clips that have the offending filter, select the filter in the Inspector > Video tab (the selected clips will get a white border instead of a yellow one), then delete the filter from the Video tab. But I have just tried that now and it doesn't work consistently. So I'm afraid the answer is no.

What Ronny said only work with clips that have the exact same effects applied. If one of them happen to have something others don't that extra effect will stay
I know it's frustrating to many of us
That's why I use adjustment layers at much as I can

Thanks for the help. I guess I could use audition to test those affects, but on occassion I have a project that doesn't flow and move the way I want and I kinda want to start over. It seems to me that if you can have a paste all effects for the audio and video layers then there should be a remove all effects as well. LOL I sent the request to apple. Maybe 10.2 will have it.

I entirely agree, and Pollux is correct in that you can only group-delete effects that are exactly the same, which is quite useless in many cases. Feedback time again

The way I do is to avoid applying effects directly on clip as much as possible. I may apply color corrections in certain clips and that's it. And get an adjustment layer on top of all clips so that I can apply effects "globally"
