I have Final Cut Pro X (10.0.0) that came on my MacBook Pro and I have not been able to find plugins or effects to buy or download free. The creators of current popular plugins told me my version is to old for their plugins. Is there a way around this without me having to purchase the up to date Final Cut Pro x?

I can't update because I bought the MacBook Pro used from eBay. When trying to update it asks for me to login with the fcpx purchaser Apple ID.

The software license for FCP is not transferable. You would have to buy your own copy.

If you haven't used FCPX before you might want to download the trial version and then purchase later if you find it is what you want to use.
