Event of Projects or Projects in each event- ?? was created by MiniEditor
I seem to be missing something here or have we all missed this - a big issue when upgrading seems to be where to place the projects that are created in a event??
Do we keep them all in a "Project" event or do we drag them out to their respective Events? Perhaps both options are correct. COnfused in CO.

I'm with you, for example, what about a project that uses clips from more than one event? I'm just not getting something.

One idea is a separate Event within a library called "Projects" especially if it will be drawing from media in multiple events.

It's up to you. Were you a 7 user? How did you do it then? I always preferred a 'Cuts' or 'Assemblies' bin with all sequences therein. I'll likely adopt the same method in the new improved X, as I don't like the idea of sequences spread willy-nilly throughout an event. Another editor I worked with always did that and it bugged the hell out of me. So this appeals to my slightly OCD nature...

There is no correct way. It depends on what you're using the events for. If the event is the shooting for a single day like rushes, then there's little point in putting the project inside any specific day. If the event is the media for a scene, Sc14B, then it makes sense to put the project for that scene inside the scene.

Tom is correct: you can have it any way you want and it will work.
If you are familiar with how FCP works think about Libraries this way:
FCPX Libraries = FCP projects
FCPX Events = FCP bins
FCPX Projects = FCP sequences
In an FCPX Library you can put Projects inside any Event they relate to, or you can create a separate Event to store all your Projects in. Just like in an FCP project you can put sequences inside any media bin, or you can create a separate bin to hold all your sequences.
What FCPX adds to this is that you can also decide to store your actual media inside the Library to make it fully self-contained and easy to transfer, whereas in FCP your actual media can only reside outside your project.
