Apple has no clue how they'll keep up with demand, I guess is what it means. LOL!

I think it means that some apple stores will have a limited supply of stock versions.

My business rep said my order was the first he processed this morning. Said Apple is promising whatever they order today, gets to the customer by December 30th. I'll have to see that, though.

Tom,
Each Apple store within your area will receive stock versions of the nMP at whatever schedule that Apple determines. This will vary greatly, but clicking on "Check Availability" will allow you to check stock on nearby stores, this is dynamically updated as deliveries occur. All BTO's however, are only available online and will ship when built.
So if you want a stock nMP then you might be able to "reserve for pick-up" online from a nearby store instead of waiting for shipping from Apple. If you don't reserve online, then stock is sold "first come, first sold" or money talks, the rest just drove for nothin'.
Hope this helps, Greg
