Did I miss this before? After installing FCP 10.1, iMovie 10.0.1 now has a menu command "Send to Final Cut Pro". The movie in iMovie opens in FCP, looking just the way it did in iMovie.
This opens up a load of possibilities for shared working - starting a movie off in the relatively simple environment of iMovie, then passing it on to FCP to finish off.
Not sure if it works with a SAN though - now that would be good in a newsroom environment for instance.

But yet no “Send to Motion” command from within FCPX... ugh

And no way of getting iMovie projects from iOS into iMovie 10. Which would be cool, starting to cut on the phone, moving on into iMovie on OSX, finishing off in FCP.

Did they take that function away in iMovie? Cause you used to be able to.
