Fade to black doesn't finish...

Newbie question: Using Ctrl V to show Video Animation Opacity sliders, on a 15 frame fade, the video fades about 80% then cuts to black. It does this no matter how long or short I make the fade. I tried inserting a gap after but no help.

Did you render it when finished? I know when it's not rendered it will be jumpy. Also, for simple fade to black I just use the fade to black plugin since it works really well.

Yes it's rendered each time. Someone else just told me the opacity slider is buggy. Where can I find the fade to black plugin? Thanks.
