Hi

Well here goes, We use Sony Z5 cameras to record conference jobs. So far a great little camera, however a conference session could be 4 hours. Now I use clipwrap for all my interviews and it works great but when it comes to long shots across multiple streams I get a missing section. Currently I use FCP 7 log and transfer to get round this creating a single Prores clip but moving forward I would prefer to do this another way. We only use the Sony recorders as a backup and use AJA Ki Pro for our main recorders, but I had on fail the other day and had to log and transfer!

SO my question is am I missing something in the clipwrap settings or is there another way outside FCP?

Rob

p.s loving Final Cut X its just so fast.

I'd have said ClipWrap was the solution. I've been trying to think if I ever did a four hour conference but I don't think so. Maybe three at the most... Have you contacted ClipWrap support? Sounds like a bug.

And does this happen when it's auto detecting spanned clips? What happens if you manually tell ClipWrap to join them?

Thank you, if I manually tell Clipwrap to join them it works fine. I didn't see that when I purchased it. That will teach me to read the instructions! ;)

I will email them to find out why it wont do it automatically.
