Looking for Plugins - NEED MAJOR HELP

HI,

Brand spanking new here. Taking over huge project from editor. No experience in fcpx, but have opened the file with '473 effects missing' and '2 transitions missing'.

Concluded the missing motions template folder from the former editor was the reason 473 effects wouldn't open in fcpx. The problem is that that folder has all kinds of effects from this site and from some paid softwares that I haven't paid and registered for on my computer. So I'm trying to track down some of the plugins/effects below. What's listed below are the ends of the various paths to the various effects. I've never used this site. If anyone knows where i could find some or all of these effects please let me know. Thanks

Before I go and purchase HyColour Pro I just want to confirm that your saying a lot of the plugins I listed will be in that software?

I think he's suggesting you google it. Anyway, the "C2 stuff is from Coremelt the rays are from their freebies, Lock And Load is paid. BCC is Boris Continuum, also paid. mLooks is here , paid. Numerik I think is built in? No way to to get the effects from the editor? Some of these are not cheap....

You've got HyColour Pro, Boris Continuum, Magic Bullet Looks, Lock and Load, film convert Pro, plus some others. As mentioned, not cheap. You'll be spending at least $1k if you don't already have those plugins.

Looks like there might be some hand made motion effects in there as well, so nobody but the original editor will have them.

No problem, not a fun situation to be in... Also, if you've never used X, spend a little time to get familiar with how it works before you dive in, I have a little list of tips and junk here , and there are a ton of more complete resources just a google search away. Good luck!

Thanks Jeff. I take it your referring to Placeholder.motn and Custom.motn in terms of the handmade stuff?

Yeah, but you never know. They could be commercial plugins - or even just custom modified versions of existing plugins.

I've seen plugins with the long numbers before but I can't remember where. Maybe from FX Factory?

Hopefully you can get a full list of plugins from the previous editor.
