the above link is a 20 second clip of a multiclip i'm working on. For some reason during playback the ONE section starts skipping and freaking out, but as you can see in the youtube video when you look at the angle in the angle viewer its skipping at all. The audio is also perfectly normal during the mc skipping I can change my angle and it does not skip either. I'm not overly concerned for my final product right now but I am concerned this may be some type of corrupt file that may end up spreading. Any ideas as to what caused this?

Yep that's weird. I wouldn't worry for your final edit as this seems to be a playback issue to me. But it might be good if you could give some more information about your setup:
What is the format and frame rate of your footage? Have you optimized the video? What are your Projects settings?
What system are you editing on?
Is your Event on our boot drive or an external drive? If external: how is it connected to your computer?
Is Playback set to "Better Performance" in your Preferences?

- the files are xdcam ex hd420 1080p30
- yes its been optomized
- and my project settings are 1920*1080 at 29.93p
-my system is a hackintosh custom. i7, 6tb internal storage, 128gb ssd bootdrive, nvidia gpu. (i dont remember all the details off the top of my head) but i've never had any issues like this with the system before.
- the event is on an internal storage drive not the boot drive. It's esata straight to the motherboard
- and yes its set to better performance in my settings
the issue doesnt seem to be the system itself as its ONLY that specific section of that specific clip thats doing it. which is what is making me so curious as to what caused this

Are you sure your Project framerate is 29.93? That's a non-standard frame rate. 30p is 29.97. Using 29.93 could of course explain te playback issues.

Okay, no problem. Well it seems your system and your settings are okay, so I have no clue as to why you get this playback weirdness only on a part of that specific clip.
When you cut to the jumpy part of that angle in your multiclip, does the cut play normally on your timeline?

Odd thought - try setting Final Cut to Better Quality playback in preferences. I wonder if there's something a little screwy with the optimised transcode, and it's struggling to downsample the media on playback?
If that reveals anything, you could try deleting the optimised media and re-transcoding it in the Event.
