Anybody care to share their FCPX workflow for grading Canon Log footage from a C300?

I like to cut and grade within FCPX. I keep it pretty simple, I use the Color Adjustment tab to make adjustments to exposure, saturation and color. With the help of the waveform monitors I get good results.

I generally don't need to apply a look but if I do Magic Bullet Looks does that for me.

How do other people grade their Canon Log footage? Would love to know about other options or plug-ins.

Thanks.

Until recently we dealt with C300 CLog using Resolve or, for simpler projects, using the color tools inside FCPX. You can actually achieve very decent results just with the FCPX color board. I cannot post any of our work for copyright reasons, but here's a video from Martin Lachmair on Vimeo:

As to plugins, Color Grading Central has released LUT Utility. This plugin allows you to apply LUTs directly in FCPX. It also has a setting for converting Canon CLog to Rec 709, which gives an excellent image balance that you can further fine-tune as much as you like with the color board:

Thanks Ronny,

I agree that the Color Board in FCPX does a great job.

I'm downloading LUT Utility now...it looks interesting...will try Canon Log to Rec 709 and then make adjustments from there. Thanks for the tip.
