When I try to export a master file or post online I get, "The operation cannot be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)." I also got it when I tried to copy a file from a GDrive to a LaCie Rugged but I shut down and that went away.

None of the message boards talk about -50 error code.

Make sure app nap is turned off. Under Mavericks if you don't disable this thing the app will just stop when you do something else while export.

Go back to Finder and find the FCPX app. Get info and you will see one option "prevent app nap" make sure that option is checked
