Multicam - Question about doing color correction the right way inside FCPX

I've done my first multicam project with 4 camera angles and 1 music angle.
But i'm confused when it comes to color correction. Right now i'm doing it inside the Angle editor, but its very difficult to actually see what your doing. If I choose camera 2 i'm only able to see what i'm doing in the angle windows (since camera 1 is the monitor angle). I see some options here:
1. change the monitor angle temporarily to the camera you are color correcting.
2. Right click on the clip in the angle editor and choose open in timeline
3. Do color correction in the normal project timeline. When you have a lot of cuts this could take some time even with copy paste.
One thing that confuses me is when doing color correction in the angle editor, you are not able to see these corrections in the project timeline. And if you do open in timeline inside the angle editor its the same issue. So you could theoretically have 3 layers of color correction without being able to see it clearly in the project timeline.

Changing the monitoring angle is the way to go. Doing that you can see the corrections on the angle in the main Viewer. Changing the monitoring angle has no effect on your multicam, it is only important that you set the correct monitoring angle when you want to synchronize a new angle in the Angle Editor.

I love the way it's so easy to grade inside the angle viewer. Much much better than it was in FCP 7.
All we really need now is the ability to keyframe grades and we'll be set.

I say we start a campaign to batter Apple via the
FCP X Feedback Page
to get color grading keyframing back. To me it is the single most vital function we need at the moment.

Well, let's see what happens in a few weeks. No point hounding them over something they may have already fixed; and if they haven't it's obviously not going to make a difference now so close to the update.

By the way, do any of you professionals out there use "Analyze for balance color"? And does this function balance every frame in the clip?

I've stayed away from most of the "auto" functions. Very likely it does one sample for a clip, based on what it believes to be white. Auto on each frame I'm sure would lead to some strobing.
FCPX needs white balance colour pickers, and key-framable corrects. Really hoping in the next release.
