Import XML - Not Optimizing (10.0.9) was created by maillme
Hi All,
I am importing an xml file (created by plural eyes) to FCPx - but I am unable to select an option where it optimizes my media on import (or thereafter?) - has anyone experienced this and know why?
I also have it set up in my main preferences but it still does this transcode to optimised
Original files are .mov's from Canon DSLR (%D and 60D) - they use to optimize before no problem in 10.0.5.......
thanks for any help,
Neil

I didn't notice this, but I seldom optimize media anymore. After 10.0.6 was released everything changed under the hood so I'm not surprised.
You can select the media in the event, then right click and select "transcode media" then select "create optimized media".
