burning DVD from shared items folder was created by Ryszard K
i just tried to burn a DVD from FCPX share menu.
The encoding went well but the final stage failed because "Create Disk" did not recognise the blank DVD, so i cancelled the burn.
the relevant .m2v and .ac3 files are in shared items folder.
The question is how do I make a DVD from these files? FCPX is not aware these files exist!!!! when i click share to DVD it recompresses the whole video again from the beginning. All i want it to do is burn the files to DVD.
Do i have to do this manually?
sorry if this is a stupid question!

SOLVED: i had both a Blue ray and DVD burner attached to my Mac. I disconnected both and reconnected just the DVD burner. All works fine now, looks like there was a device conflict.
Note: the set up with 2 disk burners worked up until last week, but this was the first time I tried burning a DVD in FCPX since upgrading to 10.9
PS: i still don't know how to burn DVD from the files in the share folder.... any advice ?
