Copying of Metadata between clips?

Here's a strange workflow question for you guys:

Is there a way to lift the metadata from the WAV files my mixer gave me and batch apply it to the video files? Case in point, I have beautifully numbered and labeled audio files and I'd like to batch rename them onto the video files.

No, there is no timecode sync (DSLR workflow). I have about 100 files from each camera (so around 400 total). There is an exact number of same shots corresponding to the the number of audio files. Can't seem to figure out a way to do this... maybe not possible - but boy would it be a timesaver.

Thoughts?

I have sent a feature request to Apple to at least carry the audio metadata (scene/take/etc) over to synchronized clips. Hope its coming.

I've sent a note to Philip over at Intelligent Assistance - if there is a team who knows the answer, it'll be those guys. Seems like it's similar to their Sync-N-Link, but I just don't need the sync part (and can't since I don't have jammed TC anyway).
