Adjust Clip Height Command? was created by DmitriZigany
Trying to assign a key command to adjust clip height in the timeline, but can only find adjust clip heights in the event browser in the Command Editor. Anyone know how to do it?
Thanks

In the current version there is no keyboard shortcut to adjust Clip Height in the Timeline, but you can use the slider in the Clip Appearance window to do this.
Since 10.0.8 you can assign keyboard shortcuts to different Clip Appearance settings:
In the Command Editor search field enter "Clip Appearance".
You will see different clip appearance commands that you can assign to a keyboard shortcut.

Thanks...
I know about the slider but it takes forever* to first click the switch, then drag the slider. Would be handy with a key command to quickly get a overview of things... Let's hope for that showing up in 10.1
*slight exaggeration
Will give clip appaerances a look...

Yes, that IS a slight exaggeration
But I agree it would be nice to have a shortcut for clip height in the Timeline. That shortcut is already available for clips in the Event Browser, so...

FWIW, I consider that a bug, and have filed it with Apple. Not feedback, an actual bug report. Maybe they'll fix it.

Hi Charlie,
SHIFT/CMD/"dash" and SHIFT/CMD/= work perfectly for adjusting Clip Height in the Event Browser. They have the same function as the Clip Height slider, so please explain me where's the bug?

The fact that is doesn't work in the timeline, it just gives you the error beep. It should do the same thing as in the EB.

Ah, I misunderstood what you meant. Yes, I fully agree. If they can do this in the Event Browser they should do it for Timeline as well. Unless they have planned a way of adjusting lane heights individually in the TL, which would be even better

I've filled out the feedback form on this before, and encourage other to do so. I find it to be a MUCH needed compliment to the Clip Appearance shortcut of Option-Command-[up/down arrow keys]. Baffles me they didn't include clip height with clip appearance. (sigh)
