Hi Everyone,
Im relatively new to Final Cut Pro X but am enjoying learning. Today I downloaded CrumplePop Split Screen X. I have managed to get the clips I want in the right places however, the clips won't 'play'. When I try and play it back, its frozen, then one of the clips jumps to life for a couple of seconds, then they freeze again. Does anyone know what Im doing wrong? Id be grateful for any help. I have waited for the clips to render and they are 100% with no background processes happening.

Have you tried making them compound clips?

No, it plays the clip on the right and the left side freezes, then that freezes and the other side plays for about 2 seconds... Any ideas?

I'm asking stupid questions here, but one needs to make sure:
Are all clips the same length?
When selecting the clips, is the the play head at the beginning of the crumplepop clip? and...
When selecting the relevant clip, are you also selecting the very first frame?
Basically, AFAIK, everything needs to be synced...

Nah... Not stupid questions. I hadn't used Split Screen X in quite a while and found that in one of the FCPX updates the way it worked had changed. Now it is some sort of goofy having to make compound clips out of a single clip, and positioniong playhead just right to get it to work. I tried this the other day and it still didn't work for me so I scrapped using it in the project for now.
SOOOOOO... If anyone can shed some insight on this, I surely would appreciate it as well.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions.
Ive just had an email from CrumplePop about this. To be honest, its frying my brains! I will try and fathom it out and if I succeed, I'll let you know!
Thanks.
