Tim, I think you have discovered something that is not working correctly. There seems no way of doing what you want to do.
When you select a Favorite for a clip in List View the clip appears in the clip browser and the range of that Favorite gets highlighted. But when you select a Favorite range on a clip in the clip Browser this Favorite does not get selected in the Favorites list. So there is no way you can find the Favorite without looking for it manually. This definitely is a bug or a missing feature.
Send feedback to Apple, this should get fixed.

Hi Ronny,
I thought it couldn't be done and then I saw the FinalCatPro Quote and Note finalcatpro.com/pages/final-cut-pro-plugin-quote-and-note
We already use that workflow, but just doing things manually. If they are using automator to pull it off then it is in essence a series of keyboard shortcuts in a macro. (Of course they did a very nice job with a custom dialog box.)
It is possible they are accessing the last range added. But I can't seem to figure that out either.
Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have read about these "plugins". Quite interesting. I don't know if Quote and Note will be an answer to your problem, but it definitely is not normal that when you select a Favorite range on a clip the Favorite does not get selected in the browser list, while the opposite does work. Good catch.

BTW. I did report this to Apple a while back. Very much looking forward to seeing and using whatever they are drumming up there in Cupertino. Those are smart folk.
I might just buy the finalcatpro just so I can find out the keyboard shortcut!
