Whats the best colour correction tool to use with FCPX thats comes with plug ins and is east to use?

Hey all,

I've moved from the world of tv in to making my own promos on my Macbook Pro using FCPX and am not finding the colour correction options nor the filters to be sufficient, can anyone recommend any software that works well with FCPX?

Thanks

Your best bet is Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, if you have the time to learn it, the control is gives you is amazing.

You also get a lot in the "Lite" aka FREE version. Check it out.

Here are two different but good filters that work within FCPX

If you are used to grading with curves

Also, I don't know if you've seen this, but this article really helped me understand color correction in FCPX better.

and the macbreak studio video on the fcp.co home page is really good for understanding how FCPX works with color masking:

Hope this was helpful and not just a bunch of stuff you already know.

Best,
Tim

Thanks so much, solved immediately.
