Problem with event manager update

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with event manager since today's update. It normally works perfectly but now won't see any events or projects wherever they are - hard drive or external.
It also won't shut down and I have to force eject. I tried removing it and reinstalling the original download but the same thing happened so maybe the update got to the original d'load.

My work around is to move events and projects from hidden to unhidden in finder but that's a pain.

EDIT: should add I downloaded again from the site but the same happened.

Try trashing the prefs/database. In Finder hold down the Option key and choose Go > Library. Application Support/Assisted Editing and it's called Event Manager X.yml and Event Manager X.plist.
If you have a "sets" file, you can keep that. It's solved the occasional oddity for me...

I contacted the event man. support and had a really helpful reply with some suggestions within the hour. Pretty incredible for a $5 app, don't you think!!!

I'll try each in turn tonight and report on progress in case it helps anyone else.

Still no joy. So far I have:

trashed all prefs with pref manager
reinstalled with the latest version
tried to rebuild the database - freezes
looked for Assisted Editing folder to trash the files called Event Manager X.yml and Event Manager X.plist but there is no Ass Ed folder
everything else, eg, trying to set preferences, looking for updates, etc and it just freezes.

It's not critical because of the workaround I mentioned - it's just puzzling. And I realise how much time this a great app saves. Just wish I could get it to like me again.

Sorted! Your suggestion worked, Plysat. I looked for Assisted diting but couldn;t find it, probably because I wasn't holding down the option key. Whatever, I tried again and found it, deleted the files and bingo, we're up and at 'em again.

Had the same problem after the update and trashing prefs worked. Thanks also.

I have the same problem and I trash the preference and it works but as son as I created a set and close the app and then restart the app crash again. I mention this in a email to Gregory Clarke of Intelligent Assistance and they immediately fix the problem.
Grate support.
