4K is coming, whether we like it or not... Z100

Sony have announced a new camera that we're all going to have to make room for: The PWR Z100. Basically, I think it's going to do for 4K what HDV did for HD - bring it out of the 'stratosphere' and into normality. Many Z1 owners found that better SD came from downsampled HDV, and perhaps that's going to get the market moving.

Okay, I'm drinking the koolaid because I got to unbox this:



and now I'm editing its rushes. The kind folks who loaned me this lovely thing have offered to publish the results too. It all feels very similar to the early days of HDV, though.

Any where to get a small piece of the media in its raw form, Matt? That would be terrific. Just to see how it works in different apps.

Give me a few days (erm, weeks?) and I'll see what I can do. I have to wait until after IBC, I think.
