This is 1333 MHz RAM for 2011/2012 MacPros, your RAM is 1066 MHz. However I think it will work because all these sticks are 240 pin and 1,5 Volt.
Contact Corsair technical service before purchasing it to make them guarantee it will work on your Mac: corsair.force.com
Corsair is a brand with an excellent reputation.

Ronny,
I finally bought couple of 8GB OWC cards from Netherlands. I have them now in my computer but I don't see big improvements in my computer's performance. Having 20GB RAM I thought it would fly but it is nothing like that. Just now it took really long time to start the FCP X. When pressing 'Show project library' button it takes a long time to open it.
May be have put these new 8GB cards in wrong slots? They are in No 2 and 6 slots now.

RAM won't make things "faster" during read/write operations to/from a hard drive. It will allow the Mac to hold more of the database in RAM so it doesn't have to read/write from the hard drive as much. Won't have any effect on how much time it takes those databases to load up into RAM, just makes the CPU faster when dealing with them after that. More than 16GB RAM for an FCP X system, IMHO, is overkill.
Match RAM in matching slots, that's all. 1/4, 2/5, 3/6, 4/8. If one were so inclined. At one time it made a difference, not sure if that is true any more.
