Hey guys and gals,

in Express I could just set 2 Markers and erase everything in between - what's the correct way to do this in FCPX?
I have been searching for HOURS in the manual and Youtube - need help urgently

Thanks so much

Look at the attached image, the section BETWEEN THE MARKERS is unneeded and needs to be cut entirely...

Press I in the timeline to mark the selection start at the first marker. Press O to mark the selection end at the second marker (or maybe one frame before the second marker) and press the Delete key. That will delete what's on the primary storyline. If you want to cut what's on the secondary storyline as well, go to the first marker and press Shift-Cmd-B to blade across. Do the same at the second marker. Select the elements in between and delete them.

I don't think you could really do that in FCE with markers.
