When recording at 100fps whats the best way to get that smooth slomo in FCPX. Is it best to just put the footage into a 25p storyline and slow to 25% or is there a trick with putting high frame rate footage into a Compound clip and dealing with it that way?

Its OK I've got it now. I was having trouble 'Conforming' the original clip for some reason. I deleted the clip I was working on and re-imported it and all is well now.

Yes, drop it into a 24fps Timeline (manual setting, not auto setting for the Timeline). Drop the higher frame rate clip in. Conform. Poof, done. Yes, you got it. Good deal!
