Multi-Cam Editing

Multi-Cam Editing was created by Rbelfi
First time using Multi-Cam, watched some macbreak studio clips on youtube and got the hang of it pretty quick. One thing I'm having a problem with is when I'm done, how do I use the clip? The multi-cam clip in the events is the un-edited version still and besides exporting the multi-cam clip and re-importing I can't figure out how to add it to my existing timeline. Any advice?

You open a project from the library or make a new project and edit the multicam clip into it from the browser.

I tried bringing the clip in from the event library but it was the original unedited clip, not with my cuts

What cuts? The only place you can cut a multicam clip is in a project. Not sure what you were doing but you can't edit a multicam clip in the browser.

When you've made your multicam clip it should show up amongst your other clips in the event where you choose to save it. Notice that it has a different icon from other clips.
If you double-click it, you'll come to the angle editor (I think that's the name). It shows up in the same window as your timeline. Here you can manually sync and rearrange the clips, add angles etc. You can also trim, colour correct, put on effects etc here, but it's not here you make the angle selections!
Hit the back arrow to get back to the timeline and drag the multicam clip to the timeline. When you play it it will only play the active (which to start with is angle 1) angle. Hit Cmd-Shift-7 to see all the angles. No you can play and just hit whatever angle you want to cut to... Or use the number keys: 1 for angle 1, 2 for angle 2 etc etc.

What i did was double click the clip, which brought me to the angle editor. I did all the cuts I wanted and angles. My problem was double clicking it made its only timeline and I don't know how to bring it to my project without exporting the clip.

You should not be cutting in the angle editor at all. I assume you're using the blade tool or sonething. This is completely wrong. I'm sorry but you need to start over. Or export the multicam clip I guess and reimport it.

There is a white back arrow above to the left of the angle editor that takes you back to the normal project timeline...
And yes, you should start over...
There's a bunch of tutorials on YouTube...

When I said cutting, I meant using the angle editor to select my scene, not actually cutting the clip, wrong word. I already exported the clip into a .mov and re-imported it. I'm just trying to figure it our for the next time. I'll have to remember to add the clip into my project first next time.
