I've updated the X-Files Pro Beta.

I now works till October 12th.

There are several little things updated under the hood.
One of the more obvious is that the user now can convert a sparse image to a sparse bundle, leaving the sparse image untouched to double check before removing it.
As mentioned all the sparse bundle stuff is free and doesn't have any time limitation.

Looks pretty great man! I take it X-Files pro needs to be running while you are editing for the backup functionality to work?

Yes, X-Files Pro must be running and Spotlight needs to be enabled for the volumes you are working with.
You can try the beta to see how it works. It won't touch your Events and Projects. It makes just a copy of them if they change within the time you set in the prefs.
