Hide, and slowly reveal text?
Look at the intro, when the text slides from in front of the tent(1.36).
Have tried options, but I can't seem to find out how I can to it. Any suggestions?

In this example, they most definitely used an image mask to achieve their results. You can do the same using Motion, and keyframe a bezier mask shape.
A key may in fact work fine, but it may not work given every shooting situation.

I'll give this a try...
Ben:
Tried searching for "Image Mask" but nothing useful came up when I search for tutorials.
Edit: Eyhh, what do you know. Had to google it. Image mask, BenB.
Thanks!

Still can't find anything. Either on Ben Balser, BenB, Motion, Motion 5, Image Mask, Key, Keying. Nope, nix, nada.BenB wrote: Oops, my bad, it is at ArtBeats. Got confused there.
And I went to Artbeats.com.

Tried in FCPX. Found a picture of a building, and tried to put the text behind it, and then add a keyframe so the text would come in from left, slide behind the building and then leave on the right side.
But I can't figure this thing out.
Do you want to explain how I do it?
Tried searching for some tutorials, but they are all about green screen, and I can't copy what they do.
And Ben, I wanna try this in FCPX. Your tutorial was great, but don't know how to do that in FCPX.

Need to give it another try.

I have a person standing. And when she bends down I want the text to reveal.
Have have duplicated the clip, and put a text in between these clips. But how to I key the person AND have the mask to follow the person so the text reveals?
Help me anyone?
