I've recently encountered a crashing problem with FCPX, whenever I open FCPX and click anywhere it would stop working. I tried deleting the FCPX Preferences with Preference Manager. I also tried reinstalling FCPX but that didn't help. If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it!

Look at the available space on the hard drive you are using. Even if your media is external, if the internal hard drive housing the program has less than 10% of the total drive available it might be contributing to your problem.

241.23/499.76 GB - I tried Preference Manager twice now. The crashing continues, Should I use preference manager, delete render files from finder, and restart the iMac?

Is it with one project or every project? Do you use EventManagerX?
If you have event manager, you can hide all projects and events, then open FCPX and see if it crashes on its own. If it doesn't, then turn background rendering off and then try to re-open your projects and events.
I've had crashing issues with large multicam events and I can usually solve the problem by doing this.
