Think the work around is to use Xto7 app to go from FCPX-->FCP7 then export out of 7. Premiere will then use the FCP7 XML.
Reverse procedure will need the 7toX.
Not tried yet though.

Erik,
Yes it's "possible" but it can be very problematic as well. The golden rule in editing is not to jump between different NLEs with a project unless you really, really have no other choice. So the main question is: why on earth would you want to do this?
Groetjes,
Ronny

Hi Ronny,
somne transitions or effects in FCPX are much better then in Premiere CC, so I make my finally edit in Premiere en will be swith to FCPX for the last transitions or effects.
Can you explain how this is possible between this both NLE's?

To go from FCPX to Premiere:
Export an XML out of FCPX and use Xto7 (a 50 dollar utility) to translate the FCPXML to a Sequence XML. Then import this XML in Premiere.
Known problems: you will lose any title formatting, native filters, transition settings, compound clips, keyframed speed changes, color, transform, crop and distort adjustments you have made in FCPX.
Most important problem: sometimes the Sequence XML from Xto7 will not import directly in Premiere. If it doesn't you must use FCP7 to import the XML and then re-export an FCP7 XML, which should import correctly in Premiere.
To go from Premiere to FCPX:
Export an Final Cut Pro XML from Premiere. This won't import in FCPX. But you can use another utility called 7toX to convert this XML to an XML format that FCPX will import. Again you will lose quite a few things in this translation. Just to name a few: titles, transition settings, color corrections, filter settings, composite modes etc... Not to mention that relinking the media can also be quite problematic (make sure to disable MXP in all your Adobe apps).
So again my question is: why on earth would you make your life so difficult? If you prefer the effects and transitions in FCPX just start and finish the project in FCPX. Much faster, no workarounds, no loss of information, no relinking problems... That's my honest professional opinion.

You have complete right Ronny. If I use 7toX or Xto7 the I lost every transition or effect, so why not make an edit in FCPX directly?
When it's finisching, I wil do the last audio production in Premire because FCPX does not have an audiomixer (??)
Thanks for your answers
Erik

Hi Erik,
I think you are making a very wise decision here! No, FCPX does not have an audio mixer but things are changing rapidly. I think in a few months you won't be needing anything else anymore to mix and enhance your FCPX audio.
Happy editing!
Ronny

FWIW, this appears to have been fixed in the latest version's of Adobe apps, and supposedly X ignores this now anyway. If you run across the MXP bug using the latest versions of Adobe apps / X, let Apple know.
Can't sleep? Try this: fcpxpert.net ;-)

Thank you for this information. We do not use any Adobe apps in our workflow anymore, so I wasn't aware of this change.
