White background to Logo???

Hey, new here, and fairly new to FCPX.
I'm trying to give a white background to a Logo, the logo has it's own white background.
I've added a white background to the storyline and added the logo as a connected clip and also generated text as a connected clip, if i match the whiteness of the background with the logo I cant see the text.
Someone told me to drag a filter and and key the colour but i'm not too sure of how this process actually works.
Any advice?

Not really sure what your asking but would it help to change the color of text? You can go that in the text inspector.

I've to use a certain font, changing it too Bold doesn't seem to effect not seeing the text.Basiccally

Did you try changing the color of the text?

When I go into text in the inspector I get a range of colours excpet for just a plain dark colour it seems..

You can have any color you want. Are you opening the Face section in the text inspector.
