Hello,
first of all i'd like to thank you the fcp.co community, full of nice resources and tips.
I would like to know if there is a way of copying variable speed ramps from one clip to an other. I worked on a clip exported from after effects, made my different speed changes and i had to do a new export from the same clip again in after effects (with a small change) and i'd like to replace it in my fcpx edit withe the same different speed ramps. I already tried copy paste effects and attributes but nothing works.
Maybe someone knows a trick or a workflow to make this copy possible.
Thanks in advance

You can only copy/paste regular speed changes from one clip onto another. This does not work for variable speed ramps.
I use a workaround for this, but unfortunately this won't work in your case:
When I apply speed ramps to a clip and I know I might have to replace this clip one time or another I first turn the clip into a Compound Clip and I apply the speed ramp to the CC. Then, if I have to replace the clip, I open the CC in its timeline and I replace the clip there. The speed ramp will remain on the CC with the new clip.
Send feedback to Apple about this. They do listen to their customers.
