Is it possible to make videos like this ONLY in FCPX?

This is the type of videos I'm looking to make. Idk if I can do it in FCPX, let me know if there are any ways. I don't want to download Motion 5, I want ways to do it in FCPX only.
Thanks!

Sorry. FCP can't move objects in 3D space.

FCP Effects make a 3D perspective plugin www.fcpeffects.com/collections/new-stuff...d-perspective-plugin

You could make text into compound clips and apply the effect to those.

It's going to be pretty time consuming and clunky though.

Best bet is to buy Motion, download a Motion 5 template from somewhere like Videohive and carefully just change the words inside the template. That's prob how that video example was created.

Search for "typography" on Videohive.

You can teach yourself the basics of Motion with a bit of Googling.

Hope helps.

you'll find tons of 'free' tutorials @YT, many 'kiddies explain the world"-stuff :woohoo: …

In 2 days learned and made this

may I critique something 'fundamental'?

Since Neville Brody revolutionized the usage of Typography in the early 80ies, 'art direction' loves to 'paint' with typography. Compare to the discussion about iOS7' usage of the Helvetica Leicht as 'bread & butter' font...

I'm trying to read, when I see letters.
You're writing vertical - hard/impossible to read.
You add lots of effects.
But the MAIN effect should be to 'stress' or highlight words, sentences, content, thoughts.

Not l'art pour l'art ... ;)

For a first experiment well done!
But try to visualize the IDEA of a text ...............

Well my original plan was to zoom in and move the camera to make all the words stay horizontal. The problem was that when I turned on the Camera/3D it said I couldn't use a mask with it(used for the word 'suppressed'), so that's why I decided to keep it as it is without any movement. Do you know how I can achieve this?
Anyways thanks for the feedback and the help, helped a lot

Fun thread. I just wanted to chime in on how outstandingly excellent the "best example was. At first I thought it was John Cleese rattling on about words, when in fact it was Stephen Fry.

Like you said... very enjoyable, thank you.

So, I suppose the final effect is when we pull out we see that all that kinetic verbiage was creating the word "language." Clever.

:cheer:

And the title 'Stephen Fry Kinetic Typography' didn't give you a hint? ;)

But agreed, it was great. As often is the case with Stephen Fry.
