remove lens distortion - goPro - motion effect

Hey guys,

Would someone mind checking out a motion effect I just put together?
I am attempting to remove barrel distortion from GoPro material without investing in an existing plugin.

There is a fair amount of quality loss from what I can see in fcpx, but it seems to straighten things out.

I'm not sure if this is complicating things, or if the result is really any good, but would like to get some opinions.

There are 3 main controls:
1.Source Scale - prescale before bulge effect is applied - Motion's bulge effect only goes upto 1000px i think?
2. BulgeScale - set to max of 1000 (pixels?)
3. BulgeAmount - amount of "undistortion" from Motion's bulge effect
4. FinalScale - to zoom/crop
