From a post on Creative Cow:
"Yes, I admit it: After being hatefully negative of FCPX, I took the time now to dive into the software and learn it. I still think, a lot of things are not good and awfully Prosumer orientated, I must say, that some inventions and changes in architecture make it blazing powerful for certain type of jobs."

He did manage to put in a lot of "yeah, but no, but yeah, but no" statements in there.
I've just started with FCP X myself and have dived in with a multi camera shoot and it is incredibly fast. There is much to learn and I think those that edit more than me (that's not hard) would have a lot more muscle-memory to overcome, as well as thinking 'differently' about editing.
IMO, Creative Cow has caused some deep divisions between people by keeping the "FCP X or Not" forum going for this long. It has become a cesspool of anti-Apple sentiment, as exemplified by all the postings about Adobe's Creative Cloud in there. The debate has become a slanging match of the worst kind, perpetuated long after people decided whether or not they loved FCP X or loathed it. Having said that, it can be hilarious and I'd buy Aindreas Gallagher a beer.

Lots of things have changed in the past six months. Even the most negative people on that forum have finally faced reality and have given up. Many of them have moved over to the CC Debate forum where they now bash Adobe CC all the time  .

People who keep complaining/bashing (on everything) for the sake of complaining/hating will never be happy in their life, seriously.

Not on the COW, but I've read complaints from people saying the new UI for Logic makes it look like "a toy".
Ug...

I used to be on those forums all the time giving feedback and help. When FCPX came out I was so insulted by being called an amateur that I left and never went back. Thankfully found this site so I could still feel connected to a community!
It saddens me to see people who have nothing better to do than get upset and complain about this and that. Get back to work people!

The new LPX rocks, kicks serious ass, is mega powerful! Toy? Yeah, and I got a yacht in the Baja desert to sell you. Some people's children, what can you do?
