Quality goes down was created by jeffkemp
When I play a clip, the quality is poor, but when I skim through it in the timeline, the quality is restored. Can anybody tell me why this happens, and how I can keep it in high quality?

Kind of guessing without knowing the specs of the media or the project properties, but it sounds like it needs to be render.

Sounds like your playback preferences is set to Better Performance instead of High Quality.
