I'm about to buy a new Mac (intel) and wish to transfer FCP6 projects to FCPX.
I've come accross a prg. "7toX" (Apple) which is supposed to assist once you create an XML.
After reading: User testing shows that it does work with XML from FCP 6. We have a concern with speed changes from FCP 6 as that changed between versions.
I'm curious about others experience, that have done the same migration as I have many clips with speed changes.

Simple answer - don't rely on this speed changes coming across. Either they will or they won't, but at some point you're going to have to look and them and decide if they worked or not.
However, I have found the developer of 7toX very responsive when ever I reported bugs so if you have a problem they may be able to fix it for you anyway.
