Playback from same position?

Hi,
I was wondering if you could start playback from the same position again and again, meaning starting playback, stopping it and playing it from the original position and not where it actually stopped. I worked with Vegas before where you could do this and it was quite helpful and comfortable to play one thing over and over again without manually selecting the exact position, which takes a lot of time. Does this exist in FCPX?

Not really. There's a play around function but that's as close as it gets.

Shift-/ is the "play around" command.
In the Preferences are two settings that effect it. Pre-Roll and Post-Roll. Pre sets how many seconds the playhead jumps to the left to play before it's original location. Post sets how many seconds after the original position it play through. When done (if loop playback is turned off) the playhead jumps to it's original starting location. Very handy for previewing edit point trimming and previewing effects.
