Do you know of a plug-in or feature that might let you composite and track an object/title against a moving object, without using manual keyframes or going into Motion? I know Slice X has a colour masking tracker but wondering if there's a similar one for objects/titles?

Motion is the way to go. It is pretty easy to do.
SliceX only tracks masks, not objects.

Yes I'm aware of being able to do this in Motion/AfterEffects. I was hoping there would be a plug-in so I can avoid round-tripping which is a pain the arse, especially for very simple tracks.
