I try to make a Master File of a 45 minute HD Film. FCPX is giving me a headache with this message (repeatedly) after about 21% render.
Specs (I know, it's not the newest / fastest piece):
FCPX 10.0.8
iMac OS X Lion 10.7.5
Processor 2.66 Inter Core Duo
8 GB Mhz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 (!) MB
Settings
Apple ProRes 422
Resolution 1920 x 1080 (25fps)
Quicktime movie (Lineair PCM)
'Open' and 'roles as' QT
Hope you guys can help.
Peter

Switch off background rendering. Trash your project render files. Don't re-render. Export. If that fails come back.

I had this same problem happen on a project the other day. Everything was fine, then I tried to key frame some scaling and it just started flickering black frames. I quit FCPX used event manager x to open a new project, closed FCPX and reopened my project with the errors and problem was fixed. Weird.
